UK Bluegrass Choral Festival

One of the many opportunities that the Western Hills Choral program offers our students is participation in the University of Kentucky Bluegrass Choral Music Festival. This festival takes place at the Singletary Center for the Arts on the University of Kentucky Campus and allows students to participate in a 300 voice chorus in either a mixed chorus or womens chorus. Since 2007 Dr. Johnson has added a select mixed Honor Chorus to be nominated by the high school directors.  The festival directors, Dr. Jefferson Johnson and Dr. Lori Hetzel are outstanding clinicians. The event takes place on a Friday afternoon and Saturday in September or October
